What you'll get
Each transaction that matches your rule becomes one Telegram message. The headline states the movement in plain words, with the amount in the asset's own units and the other side of the transfer; known exchanges and protocols are named, other addresses are shortened. The next line names the wallet and the rule, and the last one links to Etherscan.
Internal ETH transfers, such as ETH paid out by a contract, are included and marked as internal.

Pick a template
Every wallet template creates a ready-made rule; you only paste the address. These are the ones in the dashboard:
- Protect my wallet: every transfer in or out. The best default for your own wallet.
- Incoming payments: only incoming transfers, for payments, deposits and airdrops.
- Treasury outflows: only outgoing transfers, for oversight of a treasury or multisig.
- Big moves only: one rule per asset with a minimum, starting at 10 ETH, 10,000 USDC and 10,000 USDT. Change the amounts to suit the wallet.
- NFT received / sent: only NFT transfers, in and out.

Conditions that cut the noise
Open a rule to change what it matches. Every field is optional, and all the fields you fill in must match.
- Direction: any, incoming or outgoing.
- Type: ETH, ERC-20, NFT (ERC-721) or NFT (ERC-1155).
- Assets: a token symbol such as USDC or WETH, or a token contract address.
- Amount: at least and/or at most, in whole units of one asset (for example 5,000 USDC or 2 ETH). Amounts are not in USD.
- Counterparty: the other side of the transfer is, or is not, one of a list of addresses.
- Spam guard: on by default, it stops zero-value token transfers (address poisoning, spam airdrops) from alerting.
Watching outflows
For a treasury, a multisig or a cold wallet, outgoing transfers are what matter. The Treasury outflows template alerts on every one; add a minimum amount if small payments are routine. Send the alerts to a Telegram group so the whole team sees them: connect another Telegram chat on the Channels tab, add the bot to the group, send /start there and paste the code.

Using alerts as a security alarm
An alert on your own wallet is a fast way to notice a transaction you didn't make. It can't stop a transaction: alerts are sent after confirmation. What it gives you is time, to revoke approvals or move what's left before anything else goes.
Token approvals are a common way funds are drained. To watch approvals on a specific token, use the Token approvals template on that token's contract; unlimited allowances are flagged in the alert. Approvals across every token a wallet holds are coming with Premium.
Limits to know
Wallet alerts cover transfers. These are the gaps today:
- No USD values or USD thresholds. Amounts are in the asset's units; USD is coming with Premium.
- Failed transactions and gas alerts are coming with Premium.
- Every transaction on the wallet counts as one event, whether or not a rule matches it. The free Beta plan needs no card and includes 1 wallet, 1 contract and 100 events a month. Paid tiers go from 5,000 to 2,000,000 events a month.
- Ethereum mainnet only. More networks are planned, but none is live yet.
- Telegram is the only live channel. Discord, Slack, email and webhooks are coming.
- Alerts arrive within seconds of the transaction being confirmed. Pending (mempool) transactions are not alerted.
Set it up step by step
From sign-in to your first alert, in the actual dashboard.
- 1Sign in at alertsonchain.com with Google or with your wallet. A wallet sign-in is a signed message, not a transaction, so it costs no gas.
- 2Open the Channels tab and connect Telegram: start a chat with @alertsonchain_com_bot, send /start, and paste the 8-character code it replies with.
- 3Open a wallet template: Protect my wallet for everything, or Incoming payments, Treasury outflows or Big moves only.
- 4Paste the wallet address as the source, or use your connected wallet.
- 5Open the rule to adjust direction, assets, amounts or counterparties, and pick the Telegram chat it sends to.
- Click Create rule. The rule is active straight away, and the next matching transaction sends a Telegram message.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to connect the wallet I want to watch?
No. You paste any Ethereum address. Alerts on Chain is read-only. It watches public addresses and never asks for a private key or a seed phrase.
Can I set a minimum amount in dollars?
Not yet. Thresholds are in the asset's own units, such as 2 ETH or 5,000 USDC. USD values and USD thresholds are coming with Premium.
Does it catch ERC-20 tokens and NFTs too?
Yes. A wallet rule sees ETH (including internal transfers), ERC-20 tokens and ERC-721 and ERC-1155 NFTs. Use the Type field to keep only the ones you want.
How are wallet alerts counted?
An event is one transaction seen on one watched address. It counts once, whether it matches none, one or several of your rules and however many channels it fans out to. An alert is sent only when a rule matches.
