NFT wallet tracker: how to follow any wallet's NFTs

An NFT wallet tracker lets you follow someone's NFTs: you hear about it whenever that address receives, sends or mints an NFT, whether it's your own wallet, a well-known collector or a project's treasury. This guide sets up a wallet rule with the NFT received / sent template, shows the alerts it sends and explains how to narrow it down.

What you'll get

Every time an ERC-721 or ERC-1155 token moves in or out of the wallet, you get one Telegram message. The headline says which way it went and who was on the other side, the next line names the wallet and the rule, and the Etherscan link opens the transaction.

Collections the bot recognises are named; for the rest, the alert shows the token id, and the Etherscan link names the collection.

Mints into the wallet

When the wallet mints, the token arrives from the zero address, and the alert says so in plain words. That makes this rule a simple way to follow what a collector is minting as it happens.

How the NFT received / sent template works

The template creates two rules on the wallet: "NFT received" (direction incoming, types NFT ERC-721 and ERC-1155) and "NFT sent" (direction outgoing, same types). ETH and ERC-20 transfers don't match either rule, so they don't alert.

Keeping incoming and outgoing apart lets you route them differently, for example purchases and mints to a group and outgoing transfers to your private chat, or switch one of them off.

Find a wallet to follow

Any Ethereum address works, including your own. A few ways to find one:

  • From an ENS name: search the name on Etherscan and copy the address it resolves to.
  • From a marketplace profile: profile pages show the wallet address under the name, usually with a copy button.
  • From a collection: the Holders tab of its token page on Etherscan lists the addresses that hold the most tokens.
  • From a transaction: any sale or mint on Etherscan shows the addresses on both sides.

Narrow it down

Open a rule to change what it matches. Each field narrows the rule, and an empty field means "anything".

  • Type: keep only NFT (ERC-721) to skip ERC-1155 game items and editions, or the reverse.
  • Counterparty: "is one of" or "is not one of" a list of addresses, for example to ignore transfers between the person's own wallets.
  • Direction: delete the "NFT sent" rule if you only care about what the wallet buys and mints.
  • Want everything the wallet does, ETH and tokens included? Add a rule with no conditions, or start from the Protect my wallet template instead.

Limits to know

A wallet rule reports transfers. It doesn't interpret them, and some data is not in the alert yet.

  • No sale price, floor price or USD value. Prices, floor prices and rarity are coming with Premium.
  • A transfer doesn't say whether it was a purchase, a gift or a move between the owner's wallets. The Etherscan link shows the rest of the transaction.
  • Every transaction on the wallet counts as one event, including ETH and token transactions that the NFT rules skip. An active trader's wallet can use a lot of events; the Beta plan includes 100 a month.
  • The Beta plan watches 1 wallet. Paid tiers watch up to 100 wallets, one rule each.
  • Ethereum mainnet only. More networks are planned, but none is live yet.
  • Telegram is the only live channel. Discord, Slack, email and webhooks are coming.

Set it up step by step

From sign-in to your first alert, in the actual dashboard.

  1. 1
Sign in at alertsonchain.com with Google or with your wallet. A wallet sign-in is a signed message, not a transaction, so it costs no gas.
  2. 2
Open the Channels tab and connect Telegram: start a chat with @alertsonchain_com_bot, send /start, and paste the 8-character code it replies with.
  3. 3
Open the NFT received / sent template, from the button on this page or from the template gallery on the Rules tab.
  4. 4
Paste the wallet address you want to follow as the source.
  5. 5
Keep both rules or delete one, and pick the Telegram chat each rule sends to.
  6. Click Create rule. The rule is active straight away, and the next matching transaction sends a Telegram message.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can I track someone else's NFT wallet?

Yes. Wallet activity on Ethereum is public, so you can follow any address. Alerts on Chain is read-only. It watches public addresses and never asks for a private key or a seed phrase.

  • Does it cover ERC-1155 NFTs?

Yes. The NFT received / sent template matches both ERC-721 and ERC-1155 transfers in and out of the wallet.

  • Can I follow several wallets?

Yes, one rule per wallet. The free Beta plan includes 1 wallet; paid tiers include up to 100.

  • Will the alert tell me what the NFT sold for?

Not yet. Sale prices, floor prices and USD values are coming with Premium. Each alert links to the transaction on Etherscan, which shows the payment.
