Smart Contract Function Call Alerts

Function call alerts send a Telegram message when a transaction calls a function on a contract you watch. Name the method by pasting its signature or 4-byte selector, or keep any method, and choose whether the call must have succeeded, failed or either. A call reads like this: "0x3f5c…e0b7 paused the contract", with the decoded arguments listed underneath.

How it works

How to set it up

  1. 01

Sign in with your wallet or Google and link Telegram, in a DM or a group.

  2. 02

Open the Admin method called template and paste the contract's address.

  3. 03

Open the rule and pick the method from the contract's ABI, or paste its signature, such as transferOwnership(address newOwner).

  4. 04

Optionally add conditions on the arguments, the Caller (tx.from), the ETH value, or keep failed calls too.

  5. 05

Save. Every matching call arrives within seconds of confirmation.

What you can configure

  • Contract address
  • Method from a pasted signature
  • Argument conditions by name
  • Caller, ETH value and status

Example

Admin calls: pause, upgradeTo, transferOwnership

Ways people use it

Owner-only functions
pause, upgradeTo or a fee setter on a contract you operate: you hear about each call.
Calls from outside your team
The Caller outside an allow-list template alerts when any other address calls the contract.
Failed calls
Keep failed calls to see someone trying an admin function they can't use.

Frequently asked questions

Does it catch calls made through a Safe or a router?

No. Method rules see direct calls only: the transaction is sent to the contract itself. Calls routed through Safes, routers, multicall or smart accounts are coming with Premium. If the function emits an event, an event rule catches it either way.

Can I alert on failed transactions?

Yes, for calls to the contract you watch: set the rule to failed or either. Failed transactions from a wallet in general are coming with Premium.

Do I need the contract's ABI?

No. Pick a method from the ABI when it is available, or paste the method's signature with parameter names, or a 4-byte selector. Conditions can name the parameters of a pasted signature.
