DAO Governance Alerts

DAO governance alerts watch a Governor contract and send a Telegram message when something is put to a vote. The New proposals template alerts on every ProposalCreated; Votes cast alerts on each VoteCast, which can be many per proposal. Both work on OpenZeppelin Governor and Compound Governor Bravo contracts, which share these events, and the Uniswap, ENS and Compound governors are in the list.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cover Snapshot votes?

No. Snapshot votes are signed off-chain and never reach a contract. Governance alerts cover proposals and votes on an on-chain Governor.

Can I get an alert when a proposal is queued or executed?

Yes, with an event rule on the governor: paste the event's signature, such as ProposalExecuted(uint256 proposalId), from the contract's Etherscan page.

Why does Votes cast send so many alerts?

Every vote is its own transaction. An event is one transaction seen on one watched address. It counts once, whether it matches none, one or several of your rules and however many channels it fans out to. An alert is sent only when a rule matches. Add a voter condition to keep only the delegates you follow.
